Terms of use. Plain language, on purpose.

What you're getting.

Reckoner is a free personal tool, offered as-is. It helps you record decisions, expectations, and claims, and hold them against reality. It makes no guarantees — not of income, outcomes, accuracy, or personal change. Anyone promising you those is selling something.

Your ledger is yours: it lives in your browser and belongs to you. You are responsible for backing it up (export from Home) — if your browser data is cleared, the record goes with it, and nobody can restore it.

What it is not.

Reckoner is not professional advice of any kind — not medical, not mental-health, not legal, not financial, not investment. It is not therapy and not a crisis service. If you are in danger or crisis, contact real people first: call or text 988 in the US, or find your country's helpline at findahelpline.com.

Anything an AI tells you when you share your Reckoner file with it comes from that AI, not from this app — weigh it, verify it, and remember the file's own first rule: do not agree by default.

What's expected of you.

Use the app for yourself, honestly and lawfully. Don't use it to harm, harass, or deceive others, and don't misrepresent its records as anything other than what they are: your own self-kept ledger.

The app, its design, and its words belong to Tanya M. Lawson. Using the app doesn't transfer any of that to you — and nothing you write in your own ledger transfers any of it to her.

Changes and contact.

These terms may change as the app grows; changes will be visible in the app's public code history. Continued use after a change means acceptance. Questions: info@tanyamlawson.com.
